Helping people ignite and grow their passion for Jesus.

BELIEFS

We are more than our beliefs, yet our beliefs define who we are. If you have any
questions about any of these, the pastors here would love to chat with you.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

About God...

There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1-2, John 1:1-17).

About people…

Every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). But even though all people are guilty of sin, forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available as a free gift of grace to those who believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord (John 3:16).

About Jesus…

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who showed us how to live life to the fullest, died for our sins, and arose from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15: 1-8; John 3:16; John 10:10).

About salvation…

When a person surrenders their heart to Jesus a person should repent of their sin, confess their faith, be baptized into Him, and live a life loving God and loving people (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38; Matthew 22:37-39).

About the Holy Spirit…

During the present age, the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates sinners,

and indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers believers for godly living and service (John 16:5-15, Titus 3:4-7).

About the Bible…

The Bible is the inspired word of God – a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.

The Bible is a critical element of living the life God desires. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)

VISION STATEMENT

Multiplying passion for Jesus, for people, for the community, and for the world.

WHAT WE VALUE

Exceptionally Generous

God is generous to us so we want to reflect His generosity. We think people should be generous with their time, talents and treasures. As a church, we thoughtfully search for opportunities and partners in the communities around us and look for ways to "give big".

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work

(2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

Positive Community Presence

The Church is the hope of the world so the local church must be an active force within the communities that surround it. Whether it’s through strategic community partnerships or outreach events, our church is called to shine the light of Jesus in a way that makes Jesus look good.

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Deliberately Fun

Jesus isn’t boring so following him shouldn’t be boring either. That’s why during a weekend service, or while serving the community, we are always looking for ways to have some fun together!

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)

Down-to-Earth Portability

God’s truth should impact us where we live, work, and play. It’s hard to apply something to your life when you don’t understand it. We aim to make the Bible understandable and portable so you can apply God’s truth directly to your life.

130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130)

Genuinely Relational

We know that we is greater than me. We were designed to be in community with others. Whether it’s with a warm hug, a friendly smile, sharing life over a cup of coffee, or meeting in small groups, we value connections. People matter to God, so people matter to us.

12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

(John 15:12-13)

Next-Gen Investing

The next generation of Christians is not just the church of tomorrow; they are the church of today. We believe that young Christ-followers have a role to play in the church so we are committed to investing in them and activating them for kingdom work.

6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

Sharda, Aubrey & Austin

God changed my life by me getting to know Him. He is someone to come to for all of my problems and everything in my life. Now, when I need someone close, or just want to do something, I can turn to Him.

Josh, Allison,
Josh & Norah

Allison and I were both raised Christian, but had fallen away from God for many years. We would have brief discussions about our faith, but it was no longer an integral part of our life. I know most stories told about rediscovering Christ involve tragedy, hardship, or low points in ones life. That is not the case with us. When we first visited the Ignition playscape we were financially and emotionally in the best place of our lives. Meeting Mike, and hearing about what Ignition does for our community made us realize what we were missing. Selflessness, charity, and camaraderie. All of which are found in the people of Ignition. We are still on a voyage committing ourselves to God, but we know we found the right people to share our voyage with. My children LOVE the kids programs, and we have grown stronger as a family thanks to Pastor Mike, the Ignition crew, and everyone who gives us a loving hug each week.
